junhong’s reaction to daehyun saying “shit”

Apr 18

quote

The captain was among the first to flee. Only a couple of the 44 life rafts aboard were deployed. The hundreds of passengers were instructed over the intercom to “stay inside and wait” as the ship leaned to one side and began to sink, dragging scores of students down with it.

“I repeatedly told people to calm themselves and stay where they were for an hour,” Kang Hae-seong, the communications officer on the South Korean ferry that sank on Wednesday, said from his hospital bed. He added that he could not recall taking part in any evacuation drills for the ship, and that when a real emergency came, “I didn’t have time to look at the manual for evacuation.”

It took two and a half hours for the ferry, the Sewol, to capsize and become submerged in the blue-gray waters off the southwestern tip of South Korea. Yet in that time, only 179 of the 475 people believed to have been on board were rescued. By Thursday evening, the confirmed death toll was 25.

As rescuers battle bad weather and dwindling hopes to search for the 271 people still missing, most of them students, evidence is growing that human error contributed to one of South Korea’s worst disasters in recent decades.

Kim Su-hyun, a provincial coast guard chief, told reporters on Thursday that the ship’s captain, Lee Jun-seok, stood accused of violating his responsibilities by abandoning the ferry ahead of most of his passengers. Coast guard officials who questioned Mr. Lee on Thursday said they were reviewing possible criminal charges, while the police said they were investigating whether he had escaped aboard one of the few life rafts used.

“I can’t lift my face before the passengers and family members of those missing,” Mr. Lee said during a brief appearance before reporters on Thursday.

A profound tragedy.

This photo was taken over 20 years ago by Todd Robertson during a KKK rally in northeast Georgia. One of the boys approached a black state trooper, who was holding his riot shield on the ground. Seeing his reflection, the boy reached for the shield, and Robertson snapped the photo.
I think the officer’s expression says it all. This child standing before him is being taught how to hate even though he doesn’t understand it. He probably doesn’t understand the difference between this and Halloween.

A lot of you are asking if I kow what became of the boy. I do not, but if anyone does, feel free to message me.

he probably grew up to be a racist piece of shit and even though racism is taught thats not an excuse
yall loveee using examples like this to excuse racism lol

You know what I compare anti sj’s to? The group of kids making snide comments in the back of the class. Then when the teacher gets mad at them for not listening to their information, they make the teacher the bad one for not being nicer to them, despite the constant negative bullshit they spew.

a discussion we had in WLC concerning women.

What got me was the fact that the two black girls couldn’t fathom being chosen first.

:/

"It seems like preferences are okay as long as it’s not Black women. But then it’s also not okay for Black women to have preferences other than Black men."

Wow

But why is anyone surprised though? Everyday you get the same message that a black woman is not beautiful, is not special, is not anything. The whole world shits on black women and we at the bottom of the rung when it comes to everything and that includes love and appreciation.

Eh fuck I didn’t need to cry today

This didn’t surprise me at all but I’m not gonna lie, I’d think he was lying at first too. Good looking men like that are gassed to that they don’t have to stay with their lowly race. They have options. So id be a little suspect too. But that sucks. But only black girls us before others and not even always so yea. *sigh*

It’s all about perception though.

I used to be like those black women, I used to put everyone above myself. I used to buy into what the media had to say about black women too. I used to view myself as well as all other black women as the bottom of the barrel until I got sick of feeling like the most undesirable women in the room and I found my self worth.

And now that I’ve found my self worth NOBODY can tell me shit. I’m special, I’m unique and so are all other black women and men in general love us. That’s my reality, that’s my experience as a black women in love with herself and all that look like her. We stand out and everything about us is TOP NOTCH. Negativity goes in one ear and out the other. Media can tell us how they want us to think, but they can’t tell us who we are, we make that decision. When you change your perception about yourself the garbage about black women aint shit has no effect on you. It may have you in your feelings about it for a small amount of time because we’re human and we have our weak moments, but that shit never holds me down for long.

I look at myself and other black women like wow, that’s GOD. Like this black girl just started working at my job recently, there aren’t many of us of course lol.. But when I see this chick walk by and we smile and wave at each other I get nervous almost, I guess it’s butterflies lol because her smile is EVERYTHING, her presence is EVERYTHING, I get sooo geeked lol. That’s how I feel about myself as well. It blows my mind because of how the media and men paint us sometimes.. I never thought I’d be at this point in my like where black women are this great to me. I used to hate us because of how I was conditioned to believe that we were the ones on the bottom. Now I realize that when you love yourself nothing anyone has to say holds any weight. If we as black women change our perception about ourselves then we wouldn’t be concerned about being at the top of anybody’s list because we would be at the top of our own list and that’s better than any thing else. I realize that what society has to say about us makes it extremely difficult to be confident in our skin, but society can talk as much shit as they want to but at the end of the day society and it’s view of us does not define us if we don’t let it.

We define us. So if you see comments bashing dark women or just black women in general, understand that it’s a YOU thing. It’s all about YOU and how you view yourself. Change the way you see yourself and other black women.
